Standard training in Gyrotonic
starts with a trial lesson followed by a minimum of 10 units of personal
training of 60 minutes each. At the end of this initial cycle, the trainer
and the client both decide on how to continue with the training choosing
amongst these options: to continue with personal training or with semiprivate
or without an instructor. All lessons should be booked in advance.
- TRIAL LESSON:
In a personal interview at the beginning
of the trial lesson, important questions such as imbalances of the
body or pains that lead to restrictions when moving, will be discussed.
Personal information is a prerequisite for finding individual solutions.
While developing the personal training program, issues concerning
motivation and aim like: " What do I want to achieve with the training?",
"When do I want to achieve it?", will be taken into consideration.
Afterwards the Gyrotonic Expansion
System will be shown to the client.
- PERSONAL TRAINING:
Individual lessons will be held by an
instructor, who helps and defines the client's movements. This new
method of working tri-dimensionally will be a completely new experience,
and the client's knowledge of the body will be enhanced and more perceptible.
Since Gyrotonic Expansion System
complies a very articulated program that should be
developed in a gradual and tailored way, it is necessary to start
training with a minimum of 10 individual lessons of 60 minutes each.
In this initial phase the client will develop the program as well
as learn how to correctly use the training equipment
in order to best suit his/her body.
- SEMIPRIVATE and GROUP LESSONS:
During semiprivate lessons, the instructor
works with more clients at the same time, from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 5. Sessions in duets can be taken by appointment while group classes are in days and hours established by the studio.
- TRAINING WITHOUT AN INSTRUCTOR:
Training without an instructor is a way
of developing the knowledge and care of our own body. It is suggested,
nevertheless, to take occasional private lessons: during the initial
phase, the instructors will immediately correct possible mistakes
in the movements. In the following phase, they will enrich the program
with new exercises, in order to achieve a more advanced level.
